What happens on your first visit to Our Clinic?

We will ask you to complete a medical and dental history form. We want to make sure we have everything we need to thoroughly understand & support your dental needs.

During your first initial visit we like to perform a comprehensive examination, ensuring that we capture all the dental concerns and answer any questions you may have.

Click on the link above to download our dental history form, please fill this in at your leisure. You can either return this form via email or simply print it out & bring it with you on your appointment. However you can also simply fill our form in when you arrive at our clinic in Montmorency . We ask if you can arrive to your appointment ten minutes prior to your scheduled time to complete the relevant paperwork.

What happens during a dental exam?

Our comprehensive dental examinations will include the following:
1. Taking digital x-rays of your teeth – some cavities and bone infections can only be seen with x-rays.
2. TMJ examination – where we’ll evaluate your jaw joint for any possible problems. See if you are suffering any pain or grinding/wearing your teeth down.
3. Cavity Detection/Filling Evaluation – we’ll carefully look at your teeth and any old fillings. Cavities found earlier can be treated more conservatively and inexpensively.
4. If you would like, we can also do a cosmetic evaluation and let you know about how new technology can improve your smile.
We would also recommend having your teeth professionally cleaned. Our dentists will check your gum health for signs of gum disease and bone loss.
At the end of your appointment, we will discuss our findings and prepare for you a customised treatment plan. Discussing your treatment options, and any associated risks and treatment costs. This is so you are educated and empowered to make the best decision that suits you. Your comfort and wellbeing is always our priority and we pride ourselves on providing the very best in quality dental care using the latest technology and techniques.
